How to Pack Artwork for Your Next Kalispell Move?

When it comes to moving and packing it always seems like an uphill battle.  It's times like this that make you wish you didn’t have all this stuff.  Some stuff is easier to pack than others.  Books for example don’t need a lot of wrapping paper and to just be placed inside of a box (limit how many though).  The one downside of books is that they are so heavy.  Bonus tip, only use small boxes for books and fill them about half full.

Let’s move on to all those wall hanging prints and canvas pieces.  Artwork can be expensive and many times either priceless or a one of a kind rare piece.  Word to the wise, don’t rush packing these pieces and invest in the right materials to keep them safe and secure.

Picture boxes are a perfect place to start.  These custom sized boxes keep each print safe from movement and being scratched by other items that would be in a larger box.  It is best to either keep one per box, but if you do place two in a box, place them back to back.

Another thing you can do is invest in cardboard corners to keep each corner of the frame from chipping and scratching.  This will also help secure the bubble wrap that you can place over the glass.  Secure each corner by wrapping it in shrink wrap.

Cardboard corners and picture boxes can be expensive and if you have a lot of wall art to wrap and box it can add up fast.  Another tip you can do to save money is create bubble wrap corners and then use shrink wrap to secure them.  After that is complete use a packing blanket or any blanket to wrap the whole frame a couple of times around.
