How to Keep Your Linen Closet Looking Like A Million Bucks?

The linen closet.  A catch all for comforters, blankets, sheets, pillow cases, towels, and a whole lot more.  When it comes time to find clean towels or change the bedding in your guest room, an unorganized closet will make a short task into a lengthy one.

Fold Towels and Blankets Consistently

You may have a large closet and can have dedicated spots for everything.  But for smaller homes with a small closet in the hall it can get a little crowded.  One thing you can do is consistently fold each item like towels the same way.  This cuts down on wasted space as well keeps things looking clean, reducing stress.

Keep Sheets In Sets

Another thing you can do is keep bedding sets together.  Between shams, cases, sheets, blankets, and comforters there are a lot of different stacks to keep track of.  If each set has everything for one bed set it makes easy to reach in and grab one and start making the bed.

If you remember buying new bedding from your local store you may remember that it all came neatly packaged together and fit really nicely into each other.  It is possible to get those sheets to look just like that every time.

Start with folding the fitted sheet, then the pillow cases.  Finally, fold the flat sheet and towards the end of the folding process start folding the folded fitted sheet and pillow cases into the flat sheet creating one packaged unit ready to grab and bring to a bed.

Roll Up Comforters

Comforters are a different beast.  Comforters are large and can take up a tone of space.  One tip is to try and roll them up instead of folding.  Once rolled you can use twine to tie them up.  This will not only keep your comforters together but the rolled up look with the twine can make your linen closet look very clean and organized.

By grouping sheet sets and folding towels the same way, it can leave you with a closet that makes it easy to find things quickly, but also make it look organized from an aesthetic point.  Opening up a linen closet that looks like this will almost make you enjoy housekeeping.
